This Cookie Policy explains how ModelMatch, operated by Patriot Performance Gear LLC, uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on modelmatchapp.co and within ModelMatch-powered features on merchant storefronts.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember preferences, and provide usage information to site operators.
This Policy also covers similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and device fingerprinting techniques, where used.
2. Cookies we use on modelmatchapp.co
Our marketing website uses a minimal set of cookies:
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They do not track you across other sites and do not require consent.
- Session cookies that maintain page state during your visit
- Security cookies that protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF)
2.2 Analytics cookies
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use modelmatchapp.co:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — collects anonymous visit data without setting cookies on your device. No personal identifiers are collected.
- Google Analytics 4 (if enabled) — collects anonymous usage data with IP anonymization enabled. Does not collect personally identifying information.
Where required by law (for example, in the EU), we display a consent banner and you may decline analytics cookies. Declining will not affect your ability to use the website.
3. Cookies used by ModelMatch on merchant storefronts
When you interact with ModelMatch features on a Shopify merchant's storefront (such as the fit check widget or standalone finder), we may set the following:
3.1 Session storage for saved model
When you enter your brand and model to check compatibility, we store that selection in your browser's localStorage or sessionStorage. This lets you see your saved model on other pages of the same merchant store without re-entering it.
- Storage type: localStorage / sessionStorage (not a cookie)
- Data stored: Brand and model you entered (e.g., "Honeywell" and "HPA300")
- Scope: The merchant store you are currently visiting
- Retention: Until you clear browser storage or the merchant's session expires
This storage contains no personal identifiers — only the brand and model text you voluntarily entered.
3.2 Cart session data
If the merchant has enabled the add-to-cart feature (Growth and Professional plans) and you add a compatible part to your cart, the model context travels with the cart through Shopify's standard cart session — which is governed by the merchant's own cookie policy and Shopify's cookie practices.
4. Third-party cookies
Some pages on modelmatchapp.co may reference third-party resources (for example, Google Fonts, Cloudflare's CDN). These third parties may set their own cookies according to their own policies. We do not control third-party cookies directly.
When third-party content is loaded, those third parties may receive your IP address and browser information as part of the standard HTTP request.
5. How to manage cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View which cookies are set
- Delete individual cookies or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific sites
- Block all third-party cookies
- Block all cookies (may break website functionality)

6. Do Not Track signals
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Our primary analytics tool, Cloudflare Web Analytics, does not set cookies and does not track individual users — so DNT signals have no practical effect on its behavior. Where Google Analytics 4 is enabled, it is configured with IP anonymization and minimal data collection. You can still manage cookies through your browser settings or our consent banner where displayed.

We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices or applicable laws change. Updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated via notice on modelmatchapp.co.
